Federal State Budgetary Educational Entity of Higher Education “Moscow Polytechnic University” is among major multi-profile higher educational institutions. The Founder of the University is the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

Moscow Poly trains specialists in the sphere of information technologies, transportation systems and technologies, machine building, chemical technologies, biotechnologies, electric power engineering, heat power engineering, technical systems management, transportation and industrial design, urban studies, municipal economy and management, polygraph technologies, publishing  industry and journalism, technological entrepreneurship, graphics and graphic design multimedia. Total number of educational programs of all levels in Bachelor, Master, Specialty and Post Graduate degrees makes up 275. In the year 2020 at Moscow Polytechnic University more than 2000 foreign students study from 62 countries of the world.

The University has 82 departments, the faculty staff is almost 1500 people and around 20,000 students are studying at Moscow Poly (including 6 branches). Non-resident students are provided with rooms in 10 comfortable dormitories.

The University is provided with sufficiently modern technical basis for training students: there are 21 buildings with well-equipped lecture-halls, training and scientific laboratories, computer class-rooms, sports halls, a scientific-technical library which numbers nearly 2 million books, dining halls and canteens.

Scientific teams of the University conduct research in various areas of knowledge basic focus is aimed at such fields as Computer Science and Information Systems, Engineering, Aeronautical and Manufacturing, Materials Science, Art and Design. Special attention is paid to involvement of students in scientific activity – the University holds annual open students’ scientific conference. 1900 students and post graduates took part in the event of the Year 2020 with their reports. In 2020, the event was attended by 1,900 students and postgraduates with reports.

Moscow Polytechnic University is one of the flagships of project training in Russia: project activity is conducted by students from the first year up to graduation, which allows combining theory and practice. The university has more than 200 industrial partners, cooperation with them allows to reduce the gap between the skills of graduates and the needs of employers.
