Nikolay S. Trutnev Educational program: “Flexible Automated Production”, “Planning and Design of Production Lines” About Mechanical engineer in specialty “Equipment for Chemical Plants”, Ph.D. (Engineering). Associate Professor, the Honored Employee of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation, Associate Professor at Department “Hardware Design and Automation of Technological Processes”, Director of the center “Nano materials and nano technologies”. Since my young years I was interested to know how machines are designed, how they work and how they are made. I wanted to become an engineer. The dream came true when I finished the Institute (earlier MIChM) in the training direction “Chemical technology for energy-saturated materials and manufactures”. Since my student years I have been dealing with development of unique equipment for producing, processing and utilization of various energy-saturated materials and manufactures, used in the defense complex of our country. When I see the military equipment on the parade at the Red Square, I feel proud of the fact that a particle of my work has been contributed in its creation. Today, as Head of an educational program, I try to tell the students from the very first days of studies about their future specialty, the places for practical course, the disciplines they are supposed to learn and possible difficulties on their professional way. Our goal is to train qualified engineers who could take responsibility for designing and operation of sophisticated equipment with increased safety requirements. I am aware of the type of specialists, required for our industry, because I cooperate with the leading enterprises of the industry. When working with students, I keep in touch with their parents and teachers, especially if any problems occur in academic achievement or attending classes. I am always open for professional interaction and cooperation not only with students, but with graduates as well.
