Winner of the contest “National Ecology Award” for 2011 in nomination “Education for Sustainable Development”. Honored Employee of the Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation.
I always tried to ensure that our graduates are specialists of a high qualification, capable of solving the most important tasks in a professional and high-quality way. They encounter the tasks in line with the challenges, set up by the modern world in conditions of globalization, including those in the sphere of reducing risks of technical systems for the environment and human health. The educational program is aimed at training a Master, capable of developing methods and tools to provide safety for a human in the modern world, to shape a technosphere, comfortable for human life and activities, provide minimized technogenic impact on the environment, preserving human life and health by means of using up-to-date technical tools, control methods and forecasting. The profession of an ecologist exist in Russia for a long time, while the demand for such specialists has been continuously growing. Ecologists conduct an audit of industrial enterprises, evaluate an impact on the environment, issue recommendations for reduction of the impact on environment by means of production modernization, introducing changes in the practices and methods of work, they monitor and control indicators of environmental security. The Master-course program deepens the knowledge of a bachelor ecologist, turning him into a specialist in analyzing environmental threats and environment protection. The training directions are based on the concept of long-term social-and-economic development of the Russian Federation for the period until 2020. A special place there is devoted to environment protection, while, according to the forecasts, the demand and variety of ecologist professions will grow a few times by 2020.
